Raised in the South of France by a Flemish mother and a Dutch & Canadian father, Sara speaks 7 languages.
(mother tongues Dutch, English & French, fluent German & Italian, conversational Spanish, basic Portuguese)
She moved to England where she lived for 5 years, and trained for 3 years at East 15 Acting School in London.
After touring a play in the UK, she moved to Paris where she is still based now.
She played the female lead in the TV series "What Ze Teuf", the first interactive series to be written, directed, post-produced and aired 24 hours after the previous episode, with a celebrity guest (like Eric Judor, Elie Semoun, Bruno Solo, or Helena Noguerra...) in each short episode (complete mini series can be viewed here).
She has since been in feature films such as Jackie, directed by Pablo Larrain, with Natalie Portman, Greta Gerwig and Peter Sarsgaard, or TV series such as Baron Noir or Workingirls,
and numerous award winning short films.
She is about to start filming as Françoise in the movie Annie Colere, directed by Blandine Lenoir.
In parallel, she started writing and directing in 2011. First with Dog Sitting (8'), co-directed with Yannick Privat, and then with Mi Casa, Su Casa (15'), both of which went on to tour the world in many festivals, and won several awards, including the prestigious Alpe d'Huez in France. Dog Sitting also had a long run on OCS. Sara also won several awards as an actress for her performance as lead in both films.
The spot "Même Nue, Asking for It", that she wrote and directed at the last minute
for the Mobile Film Festival (on the theme "Women's Empowerment") is cumulating over 7 million views.

She is currently developing her first feature film,
a feel good dramatic comedy, "Bequille", with Les Films de Juillet.
